Das Netzwerk Erzählcafé Schweiz wird von Johanna Kohn, Jessica Schnelle und Robert Sempach als Kooperationsprojekt zwischen dem Migros-Kulturprozent (Bereich Soziales) und der Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (Institut für Integration und Partizipation) initiiert.
